Nov. 24th, 2005 12:00 pm10 Things I'm thankful for, in no special order.
1. My house, even when it seems like an anchor, it is still a shelter - and home to myself and one of my dearest friends.
2. My education - art, massage, computers, music and otherwise.
3. Memory foam mattress toppers
4. My many friends all over the country who have graciously hosted or guided me in my travels.
5. My country - regardless of its administration in any year. At least we are free to argue about it.
6. My nearest and dearest chosen family. You have been my Sanctuary through many storms.
7. My "cub corps", you know who you are. ;)
8. Being able to impart some of my own experiences / education to those who wish to learn.
9. My PDA. Oh I luff it, how I luff it.
10. The internets. Livejournal, espeically. For real, yo.
I've been thinking a lot lately about all the changes and circumstances I have gone through in the last few years, much of it good much of it not-so-good, but all of it profoundly effecting who I am today. I may have credit card debt up to my eyeballs but I have my health. I may not have a lot in savings anymore, but I have the admiration of a lot of great guys. I may still be building my business and client base but I have the support of people who really love me and have proven it with action, or with words of wisdom and comfort, not just lip service.
I may be poor in money but I am rich in people. And people are the best kind of wealth to have, as far as I am concerned.
Thank you to everyone of you who has made my life more interesting, amusing, sane, stable, or just a little easier.
Happy Thanksgiving!!!
