The Cub and the Restless...

profundisThe last week or so has been dramarific on a few different fronts, but this week seems to have brought them all into greater clarity, if not complete closure.
On the school front: Still haven't had any official word from the school in Conyers, and haven't yet sent them my official buh-bye letter, but I'm composing it in my head in dribs and drabs. I heard from Professor Woofy finally, and he was as reassuring of his faith in me as he was expressive of his ire at them, and his uncertainty as to his future investment in them. That was really nice to hear. That school may have made a major mistake in fucking with me. Good.
On the work front: An engaging and enjoyable dinner with one of my spys produced great insight into the Southern Bears / Bear Paws Massage / Bear All fiasco of 2006. Suffice it to say, though I'll certainly be present at the Eagle to see my friends and network / market, I shan't be providing massages anymore on bear club night, nor possibly at any night there, and not for Bear All either. I will as always, be available for sessions during Bear All (like this year), since I live here. :) Things are looking intriguing for working with another regional bear club, not known for drama or shade like our own, so wish me luck.
On the cub front: I mediated a dispute between two of my cubs (think Separation Court), and I have to say I am very proud of them both, as well as myself on this one. I feel like I pushed all the right buttons and then let them do what needed to be done, say what needed to be said, feel what needed to be felt instead of trying to direct it or claim it as my own somehow, which is a danger when you are attached to both parties in a dispute. Whew. I feel like the bullshit was laid aside and the real shit was laid out on the table to be owned. Hell yeah. Now some healing can take place as long as they stay the course.
