Mom

Just got a call from my step-dad. Mom is being taken by ambulance to the hospital, something is wrong with the blood vessels in her head, I couldn't understand all of what he told me, I'll grill the docs for info when I get there. They found evidence of microstrokes in the tests earlier today, and the MRI showed something worse. Possible brain surgery worse. They want her there for observation for 24-48 hours.

I dreamed this the other night. I dreamed she collapsed asleep on me while we were driving and she was disoriented when I woke her. I dreamed it (and woke up to remember it) at the exact minute she had the first pain in her head and neck and arm (i found out later that day). I told her I dreamed about it and she went to see the doctor the next day.

I have to hope this warning will do some good, not simply be another warning of doom like it was when we all had the dreams about my father.

Rob is coming to drive me up there.

I don't really believe you can "happy thought" her better but if you do, then please be my guest. I know I can use some happy thoughts personally.

Its looking that way, bud! Thanks! Maybe a little more of the swift part would be nice, but frankly I'm not complaining...she could have easily died, so a week in the hospital is not too much to bear. ;)
