Okay, I could totally see the sweet potato and the garlic ones. Who'd have thought balsamic vinegar and ice cream, but several places have done their own balsamic with strawberry, and some with chocolate. There was a shop in MAdison that had a flavor called Chocolate Coyote: chocolate with cayenne pepper. Very fudgey, then spicy. It was weird. Good to taste, but not a whole scoop.

I've actually tried both the spinach and koshihikari ice creams and I'll be honest and say they're better than a lot of the crap we eat in this country. The spinach is actually freaking delicious if you get the right brand. Never heard of anyone in japan ever eating any of the fish ice creams, they're mere existence may be to confound gaijin.
