Y'know, I thought it was funny until I saw them dancing in the "rain" like a boy band, then it became hilarious. I haven't laughed that hard in a while. I truly hope this is just all in fun and not a serious musical undertaking. Although, if they really were singing then the "lead bear" has a decent voice.

I love when stuff like this gets folks in an uproar... it's like the Lady Bear parades during Lazy Bear back in the day. Fucking take a moment to laugh at just how silly the entire bear movement is... It's ridiculous when you think about it. But things can be ridiculous and tacky and wrong and still have value (I mean, look at Celine Dion for an example).

Anyhow, the Str8/Hater Bear mentality is so boring and tired. I'm digging that this is getting passed around and it's stirring up some discussion. I'd like to see more.

(and for the record, yes - the video is horrible and scary but again, that's why I think it's awesome)

I knew it would take like, 10 minutes before the "what is a bear, twink, warthog" etc debate would burst open again, and I'm not even going there.

Twink, bear, disco, boy bands = ridiculous. All of it. This is just super-concentrated ridiculosity. Its the super serious "aren't we fucking rad, smell us!" vibe that makes me just want to mock this forever.

It's just like most "bear porn" nowadays....thin, muscled guys with a goatee.

I keep looking at it for signs of spoofage, and there really aren't any. Their website is even more serious. I don't think they are spoofing at all (ala the Backstreet Bears), but rather doing some sort of arrested development "old fat hairy guys can be in a boy band too!" thing. The lead singer is especially selling it hard, like he knows this is his last best chance for fame.

If they are making fun, they are doing it like Donnie Davies /Evening Service...a little TOO slick of a parody...

I find the whole subculture odd. All I know is that I've always been attracted to heavier set, hairy guys, since the day I crawled out of the closet. This was back when 'bears' didn't exist. So to speak.

Even my straight room mate at the time was all like, 'Dude, what's up? You used to date little bitty girly girls and now your sleeping with lumberjacks.' And I was all like 'D'uh, I don't want a chick with a dick, or a man with a pussy.' Unless it's Buck Angel.
